Archie plans to take his cat to the neighborhood pet show. However, just before the pet show, the cat is nowhere to be found! His friends go reluctantly without him to the pet show. The pet show is as exciting as everybody thought it would be. The judges give out blue ribbons to everyone, creating categories such as "cat with the longest whiskers," "friendliest fish," etc. Archie finally arrives with a jar with a germ inside. An old woman shows up with his cat just as Archie is displaying his pet. The judges award the woman a blue ribbon for having a cat with the longest whiskers. Archie is also awarded a ribbon for the pet he carries in a jar. Archie displays good humor and kindness. The old woman offers the blue ribbon to Archie, but he insists that she keep it and he happily runs to join his friends.
