Farm Games and Snacks
Games
What Am I?
Attach a picture of a farm animal to the back of each child’s shirt with a clothespin without telling the name of the animal. Have children guess the animal by asking questions of other children such as “Am I big?” or “Do I give milk?”
What’s in the Box?
In a box put items that you might find on a farm such as hay, an egg, a feather, ear of corn, etc. Blindfold children and ask them to guess the items in the box.
Movement Activities
Pin the Fleece on the Sheep Game
Cut a large silhouette of a sheep and attach it securely to the wall. Give children cotton balls with double-sided sticky tape on one side. Blindfold children and have them place their cotton ball on the sheep. Have children continue until they have a fluffy sheep.
Move Like You Are A . . .
Ask children to move as if they are galloping horses, pigs wallowing in mud, chickens pecking at dirt, etc. Encourage children to make noises of the animals that they are imitating at the same time.
Snacks
